IHG signs Holiday Inn St Petersburg – Proletarskaya

Holiday_InnInterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the signing of Holiday Inn St Petersburg – Proletarskaya, which will become the second hotel under the Holiday Inn brand in St Petersburg. The hotel will operate under a management agreement with PKF Piramida-D LLC.

Opening in 2018, the hotel will be part of Expoforum International, the latest and most modern convention centre in St Petersburg. The hotel will be nearby Proletarskaya underground station, enabling guests to reach Nevsky Prospekt in the city centre in just fifteen minutes.  The hotel is set to welcome leisure guests attending events at the convention centre and visiting St Petersburg, and business guests travelling to the nearby business parks.

Holiday Inn St Petersburg – Proletarskaya will feature 414 guest rooms including 18 suites and extensive meetings facilities inclusive of a conference centre and a sizeable congress hall with 1,000 seats, as well as the brand’s signature Open Lobby with a 24hour restaurant and bar. The Holiday Inn Open Lobby has transformed the traditional hotel lobby format by combining the front desk, lobby, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one open, cohesive space, while refreshing the design to give it a more contemporary feel. The concept was created by understanding how people use space at home in order to give guests the most flexibility, whether they’re looking to eat, relax, work, or have fun in one integrated space.

Aron Libinson, Associate Vice President of Operations and Development, Russia, Georgia and the CIS, IHG said: “We’re delighted to have signed Holiday Inn St Petersburg – Proletarskaya with PKF Piramida-D LLC. Holiday Inn is the most recognised hotel brand in the world and offers guests a warm friendly welcome and a relaxing stay. This addition to our portfolio is in line with our expansion plans for the region and we are thrilled to be bringing another quality hotel to one of Russia’s most loved cities.”
