Opal Sands Resort, the newest property under Ocean Properties, Ltd. & Affiliates, is set to open by March 2016 in Clearwater Beach, setting the bar for luxury beachfront accommodations in Florida’s #1 Best Beach Town, as named by USA Today.
Inspired by the powdery white sands and lively atmosphere, the highly anticipated resort brings upscale accommodations with a contemporary feel to Florida’s Gulf Coast. The curvature of the property, designed by Design Duncan Miller Ullmann, gives every room a clear view of the stunning gulf sunsets with all 230 guest rooms and suites offering spectacular oceanfront views, private balconies and modern amenities. Chic décor, stylized wood accents and subtle touches of turquoise and blue are perfectly suited for the beachfront escape.
Opal Sands will offer a wide range of upscale amenities and services. The zero-entry outdoor pool and sun deck is perfect for kicking back with a drink while a state-of-the-art fitness center, full-service spa, fire pits and retail shops round out the on-property diversions.
Not to be overlooked is the destination dining that Opal Sands will bring to the beachfront. Sea-guini will offer a tropical twist on seafood-centric Italian dining. A focus on farm-fresh and fresh-off-the-boat ingredients will be infused throughout the menus at this three meal a day spot, with unprecedented views of the water and Gulf of Mexico sunsets. Nearby, the spacious, outdoor tiki bar, Sandbar, will serve signature cocktails, as well as dozens of classic libations, using only the freshest juices, fruits, purées and hand-picked herbs. A menu of fresh bites and flavors will complement the cocktail program, as will the sunset views.
The Gulf views also provide the perfect backdrop for special events, weddings, celebrations and meetings, as the resort will offer 25,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor event space, and 5,500 sq ft of event lawn for elegant outdoor affairs.
