InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, IHG’s luxury brand, has opened InterContinental Estoril – the brand’s first hotel on the ‘Portuguese Riviera’. Situated on the beautiful Estoril coast, just 27 kilometres west of Lisbon, the hotel offers ocean views from every room, as well as easy access to the country’s historic capital via train along the coast line.
InterContinental Estoril features a beautiful outdoor swimming pool with ocean views as well as tranquil gardens, a wellness centre with Ritual Spa, Club InterContinental and a private terrace. All 59 guest rooms are elegant and modern, with sleek furniture and design features.
Estoril plays host to a wealth of international sports events and golf courses, and boasts a number of national parks and stunning beaches all within a short walking distance from the hotel. Commonly called the “Coast of Kings” thanks to its popularity with European royalty, the town has one of Europe’s largest casinos and was the inspiration for the first of Ian Fleming’s James Bond books, “Casino Royale.”
The destination is also famous for its local seafood specialities which can be experienced in the hotel’s fine dining restaurant, Lota.do. For pre- or post-dinner drinks, the Atlantico Lounge offers an impressive cocktail menu to be enjoyed alongside unbeatable views of the open Atlantic waters.

InterContinental Estoril is owned by Margem Encantada Invest. Turisticos and operates under a management agreement with IHG.
