This latest phase of refurbishments will enable our hotels to be further distinguished by their premium class of hospitality and augment the significant customer affinity already enjoyed by our brands,” says Bernold O. Schroeder, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
Pan Pacific Perth
Located along the scenic Swan River within the city’s main business and entertainment district, the 486-room Pan Pacific Perth has unveiled 132 remodelled guestrooms and suites. Featuring the “Pan Pacific” signature colour palette of rich grey and warm gold hues, the refurbished rooms and suites have incorporated the latest technology into its design for an enhanced level of comfort and convenience. This includes LED interactive televisions, iPhone docking stations and high-speed internet connectivity. The luxurious marble bathrooms in the guestrooms have also been updated with new lighting features, designer fittings and amenities.
In addition to the guestroom refurbishment, Pan Pacific Perth has just commenced a refreshment of its lobby which will transform it into a modern, sophisticated space with pod-style reception counters and a new water feature to create a serene and welcoming environment.
PARKROYAL Parramatta
On the east coast of Australia, the 196-room PARKROYAL Parramatta has embarked on a 15-month extension project which will make it the largest hotel in Parramatta – boasting 286 guestrooms – by mid-2016.
The project involves the construction of a new seven-storey tower with a Club Lounge, 40 Club Rooms, 50 Premium Rooms and a gymnasium. With the addition of four new meeting rooms, PARKROYAL Parramatta will soon offer a total of 12 event spaces, the highest number in any meetings and events hotel in Parramatta.
The renovations will also include extending the premises of the existing BAR:30 restaurant and bar into the adjoining Phillip Street to introduce an alfresco dining element that captures the vibrant local “eat street” atmosphere.
PARKROYAL Yangon
In Myanmar, the 334-room PARKROYAL Yangon recently completed a comprehensive phased refurbishment of its public areas, business centre, dining concepts, club lounge, guestrooms, as well as ballroom and meeting facilities.
Beginning with the exterior, the façade of the hotel building has been spruced up with a fresh coat of paint. Notably, the lobby and porte cochère now feature widened spaces, innovative lighting and soft furnishings for an elevated arrival experience.
On the dining front, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant has been rebranded to Spice Brasserie with bright, contemporary interiors, offering international and local specialties. The new Si Chuan Dou Hua Chinese restaurant serves authentic Si Chuan cuisine and a selection of Cantonese dishes, while the former Music Club has relaunched as Club 5, a trendy entertainment hotspot. Enhancements were also made to the widely-popular Shiki Tei Japanese restaurant, Lobby Bar and Orchid Club Lounge.
To cater to the accommodation needs of extended-stay travellers in the city, PARKROYAL Yangon now offers 14 well-appointed one and two bedroom serviced suites. Meanwhile, the hotel’s Deluxe and Premier Rooms have undergone enhancements in the form of new fittings and fixtures, ceiling changes and reapplied floor varnish. The interiors of the 425 square-metre Yadanar Grand Ballroom have also been refreshed with new carpeting, lighting, wall panelling and up-to-date audio-visual systems.
PARKROYAL on Beach Road
The 346-room PARKROYAL on Beach Road in downtown Singapore has introduced 130 newly refurbished Premier Rooms with sleek, nature-inspired designs. Every room offers large floor-to-ceiling windows while the raised ceiling height of three metres creates a heightened sense of space. All rooms come equipped with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and a 40-inch LED flat screen television. Other thoughtful technological features include the installation of power points at the bed stands for the ease of access and charging while guests are at rest.
As part of its refurbishment, the hotel now presents an expansive 104-square metre Executive Suite decorated in similar soothing colour tones as the new Premier Rooms. The Executive Suite comprises separate living and dining areas, as well as a private bedroom and luxurious bathroom with a walk-in wardrobe.
Guests in the Orchid Deluxe and Orchid Premier Rooms, and Executive Suite enjoy access to the hotel’s revitalised Orchid Club Lounge, which has been expanded to accommodate a dedicated food and beverage area with an open kitchen that serves a daily specialty dish cooked à la minute, among other cuisines.
