Courtyard by Marriott Belgrade City Center to open in September 2015

Marriott International’s Courtyard by Marriott brand has announced that its first hotel in Serbia, the Courtyard Belgrade City Center, will open on 7 September 2015. The hotel, which showcases the brand’s new European design, is dynamic and modern with a striking glass façade that contrasts against the historic city center backdrop. The opening will mark Courtyard’s entry into its 42nd country, as the brand continues to rapidly expand globally.

Situated in the heart of the city in Republic Square, a short walk from the shopping and restaurants of Knez Mihailova and the cobbled streets of Belgrade’s Bohemian Quarter, the Courtyard Belgrade is easily accessible for international visitors, just a 20 minute drive from Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.

The 114-room property is comprised of two Studio rooms and 112 Standard rooms, all of which have 42-inch Smart LED TV and complimentary Wi-Fi. The Courtyard Belgrade City Center will meet the needs of both business and leisure travellers with convenient services including one meeting room, a 24 hour market for refreshments, a restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a fitness center.

Courtyard by Marriott celebrated its milestone 1000th hotel in March 2015 with the opening of Courtyard Washington Walla Walla, USA. With the largest global rooms pipeline across the Marriott portfolio, Courtyard expects to have hotels in 45 countries by the end of 2015. With a current presence in all 50 U.S. states, nearly 50 percent of new projects are expected be outside of the brand’s home country in the coming years, including several new hotels planned for Europe by the end of 2016. Courtyard celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2013 and remains Marriott’s second largest revenue generator.
