Scandic Kødbyen to open in Copenhagen in 2018

Scandic Hotels will open another large international hotel in the spring of 2018. The hotel, which will be located in the center of Copenhagen’s “meatpacking district” – Kødbyen – will be designed with the history and urban character of the area in mind and will provide a vibrant meeting place for both guests and Copenhageners alike.

Scandic KødbyenWith 370 rooms planned, the new large hotel in Kødbyen will be a welcome addition to Copenhagen’s hotel market. The hotel will encompass a total of close to 15,500 m2 with 1,900 m2 designated for meeting and restaurant facilities.

The design of the hotel will be characterized by the area’s past industrial history blended with today’s lively atmosphere and pulse. The meeting spaces will also showcase creative solutions and avant-garde design.

The property owner of the new hotel in Kødbyen is KLP Ejendomme.

Scandic is the leading hotel operator in the Copenhagen area with 8 hotels and close to 1,800 hotel rooms, of which 75 percent of the rooms are located downtown.
