Pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun to open in 2016

Pentahotels new1Pentahotels has been appointed by Hong Kong-based Luks Industrial Company to manage pentahotel Hong Kong, Tuen Mun, opening in 2016. Following on the successful 2013 launch of pentahotel Hong Kong Kowloon, pentahotel Tuen Mun will be the latest addition to the pentahotels portfolio and the fourth in the region, joining Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.

The former industrial high-rise building will be completely renovated in keeping with the brand’s design-led style. The 298-room hotel will be aimed to appeal to independent-minded business and leisure travellers with its cool comfort and convenience. Offering as well an alternative to Hong Kong’s urban landscape, the Tuen Mun location is a seaside oasis surrounded by seafood markets, heritage sites and Buddhist monasteries.

At the heart of the hotel will be pentalounge, the go-to venue for guests and locals. Rethinking hotel design, pentahotel Tuen Mun will replace the soulless lobby and style-free reception found in most hotels with a hip bar. The 24/7 pentalounge will transform from a laidback lounge during the day to an ultra-stylish bar at night. Featuring a pool table and WLAN, the lounge will invite visitors and locals to check in, chill out and live it up.

“Since we opened pentahotel Hong Kong Kowloon in 2013, we’ve seen how the penta concept really resonates with both Hong Kong visitors and residents,” explains Sonia Cheng, CEO of Rosewood Hotel Group, pentahotels’ parent company. “Guests love the distinctive design as well as our creative approach to every aspect of the hotel experience, from the cool lobby gathering place to streamlined, practical conveniences. We’re confident that pentahotel Tuen Mun will further extend the penta brand’s success in Hong Kong when it opens next year.”
