Two New Park Inn by Radisson Hotels coming to Istanbul

Carlson Rezidor is strengthening its presence in Turkey by announcing two new Park Inn by Radisson properties in Istanbul: The Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Istanbul Odayeri and the Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Atasehir will welcome the first guests in early 2016. The signings bring the group’s portfolio in Greater Istanbul to 10 hotels with almost 1,900 rooms. In Turkey, Carlson Rezidor now operates and develops 17 hotels with 3,300 rooms.

Park Inn Istanbul

“Turkey is a key focus country for us where we want to grow further together with experienced partners. We are delighted to add two Park Inn by Radisson hotels to our network and to strengthen our Turkish cluster. Park Inn is a contemporary and compelling mid-market offer for young and youthful travellers, and set for a fast development in Istanbul and further destinations across the country”, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor.

The Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Istanbul Odayeri will be a new build urban resort in the European outskirts of Istanbul, 5km away from the city’s third airport which is planned to be one of the largest airports worldwide (a first phase with 90 million passengers will be finalised in October 2017). The hotel will be located in the vicinity of the third Bosphorus Bridge due to open in October 2015 and next to the strategic junction of Odayeri of the newly created Marmara Northern Motorway. The surrounding area will see further development such as a technology, industry and commercial zone and the introduction of several urban construction projects. Besides 98 guest rooms, the Park Inn will offer an all-day-dining restaurant and a bar, 2 meeting rooms, a spa including hammam, sauna and indoor pool, and a gym. The project will be developed and owned by Fabeks Group which has investments in a textile premium retail brand, real estate and steel trading.

The Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Atasehir will be located on the Asian side of Istanbul in the modern residential district of Atasehir. Besides upscale and luxury accommodation, the area also hosts business centres and will be home to the Istanbul International Financial Center (IFFC). IFFC’s first phase will be completed in 2017 – the project is a key enabler of the plan to establish Turkey as one of the world’s ten largest economies by 2023. The Park Inn will comprise 80 guest rooms, an all-day-dining restaurant and a lobby bar, 2 meeting rooms, and a gym.

“We are delighted to partner with Carlson Rezidor Group to develop the first Park Inn on the Asian side of Istanbul and close to IFFC. We are sure that our cooperation will be profitable and fruitful to both parties by filling the existing gap of mid-market properties in the area”, commented Hakan Ataman, Chairman of the Board of the owning company Perspektif Otelcilik Ve Turizm A.S.

Park Inn by Radisson, Carlson Rezidor’s core mid-market brand, has most recently been re-launched as a vibrant offer for the growing clientele of Gen X and Gen Y. Based on the three pillars of “choice”, “connectivity” and “community”, Park Inn by Radisson offers friendly and welcoming hospitality at a competitive price and features services such as free high speed internet access.

The Park Inn by Radisson Hotel & Residence Istanbul Odayeri and the Park Inn by Radisson Istanbul Atasehir will be operated by The Rezidor Hotel Group.
