Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa has announced the promotion of Markie Mullins to director of revenue management.
A resort veteran who has spent the past two-plus years as assistant director of revenue management, Mullins now leads a team of six, overseeing the distribution strategy of the lush 240-acre property in Rancho Mirage, Calif. With responsibilities including, managing day-to-day yield operations; fashioning pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting; performing competitive benchmark studies and creating and developing pricing strategies, Mullins will utilize her knowledge from years of experience to maximize revenue and profit for Omni Rancho Las Palmas.
Mullins joined Omni Rancho Las Palmas in April 2015 as an assistant director of revenue management. During her tenure, Mullins managed a team of five and boats a successful track record in a range of areas from addressing need periods with promotions and packages that perform, to increasing ancillary spending by implementing innovative group strategies.
Having spent the entirety of her hospitality career as part of the Omni Hotels & Resorts family, Mullins arrived at Omni Rancho Las Palmas following a two-year turn as reservations manager at Omni Nashville Hotel in the heart of Music City. Previously, she was with Omni Charlottesville Hotel, joining as rooms coordinator in March 2008 and departing as reservations supervisor in August 2013, with roles in between including assistant to the director of engineering and accounts receivable.
Born and raised in Wise, Va., Mullins studied art history at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. She also attended University of Virginia’s College at Wise, Va., as well as Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap, Va. In her free time, Mullins enjoys kayaking and reading in the beautiful Coachella Valley.
