Pentahotels, the lifestyle hotel group, has announced the appointment of Peter Habelitz as Vice President Finance, effective 4 October 2017. In this role, Peter will oversee the overall financial health and strategy of the hotel group
Peter brings strong financial management expertise to the group, and joins pentahotels from Lufthansa AirPlus, a financial provider, where he spent over 3 years as Associate Director Controlling. Prior to that, he was the Financial Controller at Videojet, a Danaher Corporation that manufactures coding and marking solutions, where he created and implemented strategies for the company’s financial health. He has also spent 8 years at Deloitte in Germany and in the USA in various auditing, mergers & acquisitions and consulting roles.
In his new position, Peter will oversee and direct pentahotels’ existing strategic finance activities and initiatives, including operational analysis, resource allocation, budgeting and forecasting and organizational planning. He will work closely with pentahotels’ senior leadership and key stakeholders to identify additional opportunities to grow the brand’s businesses across various markets, as it prepares for ambitious expansion plans in new destinations worldwide with its fresh and disruptive vision within the traditional hospitality industry.

A German-national, Peter is a graduate of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in Germany, where he studied Accounting and Controlling. He also holds the Certified Public Accountant designation and speaks English, French, German and Japanese.
