Hyatt Regency Chicago appoints Matt Schalk as Hotel Manager

Matt Schalk Hyatt Regency Chicago has announced the appointment of Matt Schalk as Hotel Manager, effective immediately. He’s held various roles within the Hyatt family and brings over 25 years of industry experience to the position.

Mr Schalk was most recently with Hyatt Hotels Corporation serving as the Regional Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the West Region. Prior to that position, Mr Schalk held a number of positions with a focus in revenue management, including Regional Director of Revenue Management for the Southern Region and Area Director of Revenue at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Director of Revenue at Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, and Hyatt Regency Dearborn.

Before transitioning to the sales side, Mr Schalk held a number of management positions in the Rooms Division, including Front Office Manager and Executive Housekeeper at Hyatt Regency Dearborn, Front Office Manager at Hyatt Printers Row, and Assistant Front Office Manager and Hotel Assistant Manager at Hyatt Regency Chicago. He graduated from the Hyatt Hotels Corporation Corporate Management Training Program in 1996.
