The Kampala Sheraton Hotel in UgandaÊhas just confirmed that Michele Magrone has joined their team as the new Director of Sales and Marketing, following in the footsteps of Jennifer Musiime, who left late last year for family reasons.
Ms Magrone worked for the past couple of years in the Kingdom of Bahrain, for Sheraton, and other hotel companies and before that for Starwood in the Gulf area in various assignments. He brings a wealth of experience with him and will no doubt have to dig deep, given that Carlson Rezidor will in a few months open a new Quorvus Collection hotel not far from the Sheraton Kampala.
The Kampala Sheraton has in recent years made a real impact again with its restaurant business and its meeting facilities and has more recently embarked on a refurbishment program to progressively modernize the hotel’s room product and bring it in line with the competition across the city at the five-star level.
