Exclusive colonial-styled beachfront resort, The Anam, is continuing to set new standards in luxurious hospitality in Vietnam with the unveiling of a distinguished and high-profile team led by Duncan MacLean.

Located 15 minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport, and 30 minutes from the city centre, The Anam harks back to a bygone era of natural sophistication with a philosophy of “No Shoes. No News. No Stress” ensuring the resort guarantees a level of relaxation rarely found in other parts of Vietnam, or even the world. With over 40 years in hotels, 20 of which have been with pioneering, luxury projects in Asia, Mr MacLean takes the reins at The Anam in the role of General Manager having assembled a dream team to take the property to the top of the fast growing luxury sector in Vietnam’s key resort destinations.

Mr MacLean’s career started in 1975 with InterContinental Hotel Group in the UK, moving 10 years later to Australia with Hilton International. He was one of the first hoteliers to work in Myanmar after the first national elections where he spent a further 10 years before working in the hot spots of Kabul and East Timor.

He then moved to Vietnam where he has lived for the past decade, with achievements including establishing Furama Danang as one of Vietnam’s most iconic hotels before taking the leadership role at The Anam.

“After four decades in the hotel industry I can truly say this destination and this property are poised to achieve something very special,” said Mr MacLean. “The all-villa resort is in an incredible beachfront location on the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula, the product itself is first class, combining colonial charm, service and style – and the team is strong and dynamic.”
