In his new role, Piedra will be responsible for day-to-day operations and continued revenue growth for the award-winning tropical resort.
Prior to his current role, Piedra held positions at several four-diamond properties, convention hotels and multi-unit oceanfront resorts across the United States and the Caribbean. No stranger to Wyndham properties, Piedra most recently served as the general manager for The Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach in Miami. There, he provided strategic direction to both the executive committee and a team of 200 associates, spearheading high profile events such as Art Basel and Miami Music Week while increasing revenue by an estimated $6 million from the previous year.

Over the last 18 years, Piedra has held seven management roles including general manager, rooms division manager, guest services manager, front office manager, and night manager for various hotels and resorts spanning the country.
