InterContinental Hotels of San Francisco announce four new hires and promotions

The InterContinental Hotels of San Francisco are proud to announce the following new hires and promotions at the InterContinental San Francisco and InterContinental Mark Hopkins.

Michael Perez has been promoted to the role of Sales Manager following two years of experience with InterContinental San Francisco as Assistant Front Office Manager and Front Desk Supervisor. Perez first joined the InterContinental San Francisco team as an intern under the director of the hotel’s I-SPA where he trained in concierge and marketing positions. His previous hospitality experience includes Front Desk Agent and Cultural Ambassador roles with Hotel Del Sol, a JDV Hotel under the Commune Hotels and Resorts portfolio and Guest Service Representative and Night Auditor for Omni San Francisco. Perez holds a degree in International Hospitality Management from Enderun College in Manila, Philippines.

Andrea Walsh

New Director of Front Desk Operations, Andrea Walsh brings resort, hotel, and spa experience from her former roles in Colorado to her new position with the InterContinental Mark Hopkins. She previously served as the owner and director for Serenity Spa and Salon, selling the business after four successful years and joining East West Resorts’ luxury Poste Montane Hotel as Director of Front Desk Operations and later General Manager. She was most recently the Director of Rooms for Keystone Resorts under the Vail Resorts, Inc. portfolio, where she oversaw front office, guest services, and housekeeping operations. In her new position, Walsh is responsible for overseeing all front desk operations and staff.

George Dombrovski

George Dombrovski joins the InterContinental Mark Hopkins team as Outlet Manager with over 30 years of hospitality experience. Dombrovski studied Sociology and Psychology at the University of Oregon and Portland State University. He most recently served as the Food and Beverage Manager for Hotel Kabuki under the Commune Hotels portfolio. In addition to the Kabuki Hotel, George also served as Food and Beverage Director at the Huntington Hotel on Nob Hill in San Francisco for 13 years. Dombrovski possesses a fluid understanding and knowledge of fine dining, wine, and IRD management with strong customer service skills. His primary focus as Outlet Manager will be managing Top of the Mark.

Malvikka Mittal

With nearly 10 years of hospitality experience, Malvikka Mittal joins the InterContinental San Francisco team as Revenue Manager. She will be supporting Area Director of Revenue Nick Hamati, working directly with the Crowne Plaza Silicon Valley and Holiday Inn Civic Center. Mittal received a Bachelor of Commerce from Symbiosis Institute of Arts and Commerce in India. She first joined InterContinental Hotels Group as a Management Trainee at the InterContinental Hotel Buckhead in Atlanta. She went on to InterContinental Abu Dhabi where she served as the Reservations Groups Coordinator and was later promoted to Assistant Revenue Manager. Mittal spent the next several years working in various revenue roles at the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo, Crowne Plaza Dubai, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Viceroy Hotel Group.
