André Guettouche promoted to Senior Vice-President Operations at pentahotels

As pentahotels sets stage for the brand’s expansion in Asian markets, André Guettouche has been named new Senior Vice-President Operations.

Guettouche, who previously held the positions of Director and Vice President, was promoted to Senior Vice-President Operations of pentahotels in the middle of the year. Starting his career at pentahotels in 2006 as Conversion Manager, Guettouche has been with the brand since the beginning. For a decade, Mr. Guettouche has established himself as the accountable partner of Managing Director Mr. Alastair Thomann, as well as a leading figure within the company.

Mr. Thomann confirms: “André has a deep understanding of the brand and has always been strongly committed to the ongoing developments of pentahotels’ concept. His promotion to the role of Senior Vice-President Operations is a reward to the high level of dedication he has shown. With the upcoming major expansions in the pipeline, I look forward to taking our business to the next level with a strong and trustworthy player like Andre in the team.”

Together with Managing Director Alastair Thomann, Guettouche is in a key position to drive the hotel chain’s expansion plans forward and is particularly responsible for the its growth in Asia. To this end, development departments have already been set up in Asia to add direct impetus in the target markets.

Guettouche outlines the company’s strategy: “Alongside the purchase of our own properties, we will also rely on management/lease agreements and franchising as our growth models. We have shifted our focus on the Asia-Pacific region for a speedy expansion and diverse portfolio.”
