Ahmet Antepli appointed General Manager of Dusit Hotel & Suites Doha

 Dusit International has appointed Mr Ahmet Antepli as General Manager of the upcoming Dusit Hotel & Suites Doha.

An accomplished hotelier, Mr Antepli has over 18 years of experience working in various hospitality positions for well-known hotel chains across the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Most recently, he was General Manager at Doubletree by Hilton Dhahran Hotel, Al Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He has also worked for Rocco Forte Hotels and Emirates Palace (a Kempinski Hotel) both in Abu Dhabi, as well as Mövenpick Hotels in both Doha and Istanbul, and Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Raffles in Turkey.

Mr Antepli holds an MBA degree in General Management for Service Industry from Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland. A Turkish National, born and raised in Doha, he is fluent in Arabic and has extensive knowledge of multicultural working environments.

Dusit International’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Lim Boon Kwee, said the appointment represents an essential first step for the group in its mission to expand in Qatar. “We are pleased to have Ahmet joining us,” said Mr Lim. “With his solid experience and proven track record, we are confident he will be instrumental in introducing our gracious Thai hospitality to Doha, leading the team through a successful pre-opening phase and beyond.”

The first Dusit branded luxury hotel in the heart of Doha’s diplomatic West Bay district, Dusit Hotel & Suites Doha is set to open in Q2 2017. The new property will boast luxurious indoor pool and spa facilities, as well as a range of high-end food and beverage concepts.

Currently, Dusit International operates 28 hotels and resorts throughout Thailand, Maldives, the Philippines, UAE, Egypt, India, China, USA and Kenya.

Dusit International has over 40 confirmed projects in the pipeline including hotels in the Middle East.  These include dusitD2 Kenz, Dubai (Q4 2016); Dusit Hotel and Suites, Doha, Qatar (2017); Dusit Thani Nairobi, Kenya (2017); dusitD2 Palm Mall, Muscat, Oman (2017); dusitD2 Al Manzel, Abu Dhabi, UAE (2018); dusitD2 Salwa, Doha, Qatar (2018); Dusit Thani Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2018); Dusit Thani Samara, Sousse, Tunisia (2019); and DusitPrincess Aces Dubai, UAE (2019).
