Ames Boston Hotel, a luxurious boutique property nestled in the heart of Boston’s historic downtown, is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott Grigelevich to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Grigelevich joined the Ames Boston Hotel team in January 2016 and continues to oversee its transition to Boston’s first Curio, a Collection by Hilton.
Previously, Grigelevich served as the Director of Sales and Marketing at the Lenox Hotel in Boston’s bustling Back Bay neighborhood. He managed all sales and marketing initiatives for the privately-owned boutique hotel and earned a reputation for delivering exceptional growth and tangible results. During his tenure, Lenox Hotel underwent a $55 million renovation project, was ranked #1 on TripAdvisor for 18 consecutive months, and achieved a coveted “World’s Best” ranking by Travel + Leisure magazine. Prior to his role at The Lenox Hotel, Grigelevich performed a series of operation, guest-service, sales, and management-oriented roles at luxurious boutique hotels in Greater Boston, including The Charles Hotel, Nine Zero and the XV Beacon Hotel.
As Director of Sales and Marketing for Ames Boston Hotel, Grigelevich will be responsible for creating and executing meaningful business and communication strategies designed to fuel growth and foster business relationships with current and existing clients in Boston and beyond. Grigelevich’s skill-set and forward-looking vision have been tapped to steer the property through a multi-million dollar renovation, including an overhaul of the property’s public and event space and welcoming the exciting addition of “Cultivar”, a farm-to-table restaurant concept by Boston-based chef and restaurateur Mary Dumont. With his proven management style, Grigelevich will unleash the untapped potential of Ames Boston Hotel and reposition the property as a shining beacon of modern, boutique hospitality at its finest.
“In a time when the hotel industry is facing incredible change and guests are demanding and expecting a local, authentic experience, Ames Boston Hotel is uniquely positioned to cater to the needs of today’s modern traveler,” said Grigelevich. “With the unveiling of many new spaces, upgraded guestrooms and the addition of a brand-new restaurant, helmed by a star chef, I fully expect that Ames Boston Hotel will reemerge as the premier property enjoyed by both business and leisure travelers, as well as Bostonians.”
Constructed in 1893, the hotel resides in the iconic Ames Building, which held the title of Boston’s tallest building until 1915 and is still widely referred to as Boston’s “original skyscraper.” Named to the National Register of Historic Places, the Ames Boston Hotel is located adjacent to Boston’s Financial District, while situated near beloved landmarks. Along the Freedom Trail, Ames Boston Hotel is steps away the Old State House, Faneuil Hall, Boston Common and Beacon Hill.
