Ben Thomas was appointed Regional General Manager for Pentahotels, starting 1 July. Since joining the penta-family in 2014, Ben has contributed to the success of the pentahotels in Birmingham and Derby. He will now act as support for all UK properties and their management teams with his understanding of the unique pentahotels experience.

Before Ben began his career in the hotel industry, he played and taught football in the US – a background that fits perfectly with the unconventional neighbourhood lifestyle hotel chain.

Having gained various qualifications and certifications as well as an advanced diploma in hospitality management, Ben then joined pentahotels as General Manager for Birmingham and later took on Derby in a cluster role. Since then, he has not looked back and enjoyed every minute of working for the exclusive hotel brand.

“I am delighted that Ben will take on the task of supporting our hotels and ‘team penta’ around the UK. He has played a vital role in establishing our brand in the UK market and he will continue to develop and nurture his teams as our market share grows,” stated Alastair Thomann, pentahotels’ Managing Director.
