Joshua Agan named new Resort Chef at One Ocean Resort & Spa

Josh AganNortheast Florida’s One Ocean Resort & Spa is proud to announce Joshua Agan as its new Resort Chef. Bringing knowledge and experience in the upper luxury hotel and restaurant market, Agan has lead restaurants in top-rated hotels in San Francisco, Berkeley and Aspen, spanning properties like St. Regis, Hotel Monica, Hotel Palomar and Sky Ho-tel. Agan will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Culinary Program at One Ocean Resort & Spa and its signature restaurant, Azurea.

Agan carries more than 15 years of culinary experience working in luxury hotels and restaurants across the United States. Agan recently served as Executive Chef of the Flying Iguana Taqueria & Tequila Bar in Neptune Beach, Fla., where he took the lead in recreating the full menu and conceptual design at the restaurant. Before relocating to Jacksonville with his family, Agan worked with some of the premier hotel and restaurants in San Francisco and Aspen, including the St. Regis Hotel in Aspen, Colo., Sky Hotel in Aspen, Colo., and Hotel Monaco in San Francisco, Calif. Graduating with an Associate in Occupation Studies from the New England Culinary Institute in Essex, Vt., most recently, Agan is known for harvesting Neptune Beach’s first and only rooftop chef’s garden. As Agan returns to the luxury hotel market at One Ocean Resort & Spa, he will elevate culinary innovation and creativity at Azurea while maintaining a unique guest experience and service of excellence.
