Heralding the establishment of the new standalone regional segment of Northern NSW and Coolangatta, Mantra Group welcomes a new management team to drive the SALT precinct’s resorts forward.
The change sees Matthew Everson step into the dual role of Area Manager and General Manager at Peppers Salt Resort & Spa and Scott Robertson commence as General Manager of Mantra on Salt Beach. Previously having worked together at Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas, they have reunited to drive the development and success of this newly created region.
Previously holding the position of Surfers Paradise Area Manager, Matthew will bring a wealth of local and international knowledge to the role. He is looking forward to bringing a renewed focus and energy to the region.
Scott Robertson’s broad background has seen him work as Group Manager, Food and Beverage at Mantra Group and also as a General Manager at a Hamilton Island resort. He relishes the opportunity to reconnect with the operational side of resort management, and brings an unparalleled understanding of Food and Beverage operations to the role.
Additionally, we welcome Ella Jones to the role of M.I.C.E Sales Manager. Following the recent $1.5 million refurbishment to Mantra on Salt Beach, a key aim of the development of this new market segment is bolstering and developing the conferencing and events offering at both Mantra on Salt Beach, Peppers Salt Resort & Spa and Peppers Bale Salt.
With 10 years’ experience within Australian tourism and hospitality she is well-versed in both the sales and operational side of the industry. She has held sales and marketing roles at both Tourism Queensland and Tourism Whitsunday’s, and most recently oversaw all M.I.C.E growth at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat in the role of Business Development Manager. Within this competitive environment, this is an opportunity for Ella to utilise her broad skill-set and focus on the expansion of M.I.C.E for the region.
