TUI UK & Ireland can confirm Fraser Ellacott, Director of Distribution and Sales, will leave the business at the end of June.
After 11 years, Ellacott is taking on a new challenge in a senior management position at Rentalcars.com based near his home in Cheshire.
Ellacott has held a number of roles in the business. His career started as Director of Engineering for First Choice and then Thomson Airways, following the merger of TUI Tourism and First Choice Holidays in 2007. More recently as Managing Director of Thomson Cruises, Ellacott successfully developed the brand strategy and grew the profitability of this area of the business. In his current role, he is responsible for distribution and sales in the UK and has been instrumental in developing a customer centric and multi-channel approach to distribution.
In order to support the growth of Cruise and maintain the strong focus on multi-channel distribution and customer service delivery, Helen Caron will become Director for Distribution and Cruise. Currently Managing Director of Thomson Cruises, Caron’s remit will be to enhance our distribution network and deliver strong growth in Cruise, and our core UK&I products. Caron already has a strong distribution background having taken responsibility for integrating the distribution channels when Thomson and First Choice merged in 2007 and more recently as Director of the Irish business.
Helen will be supported by the existing team and Chris Jones, who joins the business from Carphone Warehouse as Director of Customer Operations.
Nick Longman, Managing Director of TUI UK and Ireland said: “It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Fraser after 11 years with the business. His passion and energy has driven significant change and helped us build the successful business we are today and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank him and wish him well in his new role.
“I am also delighted that Helen Caron has been appointed as our Director of Distribution and Cruise. Helen has strong experience in distribution from previous roles within TUI UK and Ireland and more recently has driven significant innovation and growth for our cruise business. Her focus will be to further strengthen our distribution channels to maximise value for cruise and the wider holiday business. I’ve no doubt she’ll bring the same tenacity to her extended role as she focuses on delivering a best-in-class experience for customers across all of our channels, alongside the evolution of our cruise holidays.”
