Shawn Jervis, most recently with The Embassy Row Hotel, A Destination Hotel in Washington D.C., has been named the general manager of the Miramonte Resort & Spa, a desert retreat in the heart of Indian Wells, California.
In his new position, Jervis will oversee all day-to-day operations for the 215-room, 11-acre resort directing activities such as sales and marketing, food and beverage and ongoing property repositioning.
“Shawn is joining this beautiful hotel at a key juncture,” said Kevin Regan, senior vice president of operations for the west of Destination Hotels. “Following the recent completion of $4 million in refurbishments, we are now keenly focused on further enhancing the property’s reputation as a prime desert destination – and are working to take it to even higher levels of excellence. Shawn has a successful track record in brand development, strategic planning, guest service and leadership, and we are confident he will help us surpass our goals on all levels.”

During his productive tenure with The Embassy Hotel, he successfully repositioned the urban property – spearheading a $15 million renovation, building a new leadership team and garnering numerous accolades, including a nod as one of 10 Best New Hotels in America for 2015 by USA Today.
Prior to joining Destination, Jervis honed his hospitality skills at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, holding a series of food and beverage management positions at The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, in Maui, Hi. Additionally, he was director of banquets for The Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn, Michigan, and for the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui.
