Hyatt at Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle are pleased to announce that Dave Martinez, a Hyatt veteran with 16 years of experience within the Hyatt family, has been appointed as the new Director of Sales and Marketing for the two Seattle properties. Martinez has proved his dedication to Hyatt and his expertise in the hospitality industry through successes in various positions, including Director of Sales, Marketing & Events in Waikiki, Hawaii, Director of Sales and Marketing in Jersey City, New Jersey, and Corporate Director of Sales in Chicago.
Martinez began his journey with Hyatt in 1999 when he started as a Corporate Management Trainee at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. He continued working in San Francisco in various sales capacities and then moved to the Seattle sales office from 2005 – 2007, the very same Seattle office that he will now be leading.
“Dave Martinez has excelled in his career with the Hyatt brand, and we are thrilled to be welcoming him back to the Seattle office in this key leadership role,” said Steve Vissotzky, general manager of Hyatt at Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle. “We look forward to Dave using his expertise in marketing and public relations to establish a stronger presence for the downtown Hyatt properties within the greater Seattle community.”
“The Seattle Hyatt properties not only provide high-class service, luxury accommodations, quality Pacific Northwest food and relaxing amenities to make their guests feel at home, but the team believes in giving back to the city of Seattle in various ways,” said Martinez. “I intend to use my new role to help further establish, and hopefully extend, that important work of making Hyatt a valued community partner.”
