Joshua Jenkins named Director, Business Travel of the Conrad Chicago

Conrad Hotels and Resorts has appointed Joshua Jenkins as Director, Business Travel of the Conrad Chicago, opening in summer 2016. The 20-story luxury hotel is located on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile on Erie Street, offering immediate access to both breathtaking city views and inspiring guest experiences from the heart of the Windy City.

In his new role, Jenkins will oversee business travel sales efforts for the hotel as well as its Frequent Independent Traveler markets (FITs) across the U.S. and emphasizing key local and feeder markets including Cincinnati, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York and St. Louis.

“Joshua is already proving to be a tremendous asset to our sales and marketing department and to our overall culture,” said Kelly Vohs, general manager of the Conrad Chicago. “He brings a decade of hospitality sales experience which will tremendously enhance our overall team efforts to reach a new generation of luxury traveler.”

Before joining Conrad Chicago, Jenkins was the Director of Business Travel at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel, Chicago, where he regularly exceeded revenue and production goals. Jenkins’ previous experience also includes serving as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Springhill Suites, Dania Beach, FL, where he received the award for Sales Culture of the Year. Prior to this, he worked for Love Hotel Management as Group Sales Director, Crowne Plaza, St. Louis, and Director of Sales, West Palm Inn, Palm Beach.

A native of the Midwest, Joshua graduated from the University of Wisconsin where he studied hotel and restaurant management. Joshua remained in Wisconsin to further his education, earning an additional degree in meeting and event planning management at Madison Area Technical College.
