Ka’anapali Beach Hotel is pleased to share three exciting staffing announcements including the promotion of John White to Director of Sales and Marketing and the addition of Richard Pata as Marketing Manager and Jenny Greene as Online Sales and Marketing Manager.

John White – Director of Sales and Marketing at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel and The Plantation Inn

Ka’anapali Beach Hotel Director of Sales and Marketing, John White, brings a wealth of management experience to Hawaii’s Most Hawaiian Hotel. In this current role, John spearheads all global sales and marketing efforts for Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, its’ sister property, The Plantation Inn and various food and beverage outlets.

John began his management role nearly five years ago with Ka’anapali Beach Hotel as associate director of sales and marketing where he led key initiatives and worked across hotel leadership to validate and reinforce Hawaiian values through various programming. His sharp intellect and strategic branding skills led him to be promoted to his current role as director of sales and marketing, a position he has held since 2014. In his position John developed a revenue plan for Ka’anapali Beach Hotel which increased the total sales by 20% year over year.

A fixture in Maui tourism since 2003, John previously served as president of the popular adventure company, Go Zip LLC, which operated Kapalua Adventures and Maui Pineapple Tours. Additionally, John served as the business consultant for Kapaula Resort where he co-launched the Kapalua Adventures Department consisting of Kapalua Adventures Ziplines and the Kapalua Adventure Center which housed retail and cafe operations.

Originally from Oregon where he worked for Nike, John attended The Colorado College.

Richard Pata – Marketing Manager at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel

After nearly 10 years in the “sunshine” state of California, Richard Pata is thrilled to return home to Maui to fulfill the role of Ka’anapali Beach Hotel’s marketing manager. Richard brings comprehensive management, retail marketing and art direction to his new role at Hawaii’s Most Hawaiian Hotel.

In this role, Richard will spearhead Ka’anapali Beach Hotel’s marketing division and handle all marketing & creative needs for the beachfront hotel. Prior to joining Ka`anapali Beach Hotel, Richard served as Creative Director for AFTCO clothing where he managed and coordinated all marketing, advertising, promotional and product materials for the sportswear line. Previously, he held digital marketing manager positions for popular So-Cal based active lines, RVCA and Billabong, which saw incredible growth under his direction. Additionally, Richard founded and served as Creative Director for the popular online action sports magazine, SurgeBodyBoarding.com. He is excited to inject his creative insight into the hotel’s marketing campaigns and infuse his knowledge of graphic design into marketing collateral and initiatives.

Jenny Greene – Online Sales and Marketing Manager at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel

When Jenny Greene left the rainy weather in England nine years ago to lead online sales and marketing efforts for The Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, she knew she’d found a permanent home on Maui. In her current position, she manages the hotel’s social media channels, online travel agent accounts and online reviews. Most recently, Jenny spearheaded the launch of the property’s brand new, fully optimized website. In her new role, she looks forward to increasing brand awareness and telling the stories that make Ka’anapali Beach Hotel, Hawaii’s Most Hawaiian Hotel.

Jenny joins the team at Ka’anapali Beach Hotel after serving as the marketing manager and event coordinator for the Lahaina Town Action Committee, where she handled graphic design, public relations and events for the non-profit.
