Kelly Vohs appointed General Manager of Conrad Chicago

Conrad Hotels& Resorts has announced that Kelly Vohs has been appointed as general manager of Conrad Chicago, an upscale hotel opening in spring 2016 along the city’s Magnificent Mile.

In his new position, Vohs is directing all activities for the 289-room, 20-story hotel to create an entirely new and highly personalized guest experience for global business and leisure travelers. Additionally, Vohs will draw upon his personal and professional experience to build and maintain a best-place-to-work culture among Team Members at all levels.

Vohs joined Hilton Worldwide in 2013 as the general manager of the 1,047-room Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. His hospitality background also brings solid experience in restaurants, as he previously held the position of vice president of operations for BR Guest Hospitality, a restaurant group with locations throughout the U.S. During his seven years at The Breakers Resort in Palm Beach, Vohs served as the general manager of L’Escalier and under his leadership, the restaurant was awarded a Five Diamond Award from AAA.

Vohs took a break from his hospitality career in 2003 to serve eight years in the U.S. Army where he was awarded the Green Beret. He holds an MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwood University.
