Lido Beach Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of new Executive Chef Scotty Lazlo to its culinary team. Bringing more than 17 years of culinary experience to the resort, Executive Chef Scotty Lazlo has worked for a number of restaurants across the west coast of Florida, from St. Pete Beach and Dunedin to St. Petersburg and Clearwater – and now, making his way to Sarasota.

“Sarasota is such an exciting place to be a chef right now as the city is growing more and more into a foodie destination,” said Lazlo. “I look forward to a new culinary journey at Lido Beach Resort as the property offers the perfect environment to put my skills and passion to work in order to further enhance the resort’s culinary platform.”

Using fresh local ingredients to prepare beautiful plates with a Floridian flare, Lazlo’s cooking philosophy is to create clean and simple dishes with high-quality and robust flavors, bringing forward his use of classic techniques with modern influence.

Prior to joining the food and beverage team at Lido Beach Resort, Lazlo served as Executive Chef at Hilton Clearwater Beach Hotel responsible for overseeing all back of house aspects of operations. He has also been privileged to cook for former President Bush Sr. and Jr., former President Bill Clinton, and celebrity figures including Paris and Nikki Hilton, George Steinbrenner, Don Shula, Celebrity Chefs Charlie Trotter and Norman Van Aken, among numerous others.
