G6 Hospitality, known for its economy lodging brands, Motel 6 and Studio 6 in the U.S. and Canada, has announced Mike Brower has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer, effectively immediately. He will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Amorosia.
As a seasoned hospitality executive, Brower has served as Executive Vice President of Operations for the G6 Hospitality brands since 2012. He formed and continues to serve as the chairman for the Motel 6/Studio 6 Operations Committee. Through this committee Brower has been responsible for guiding and elevating brand quality and guest experience, and increasing operational efficiency across the enterprise. In his expanded role, he will add oversight of franchise operations, furthering the brands’ integration efforts.

As Chief Operating Officer, Brower will continue to work closely with the Executive Committee to enhance brand quality, guest experience, revenue growth and service levels across our Motel 6, Studio 6, Hotel 6 and Estudio 6 brands. Likewise, he will also oversee all aspects of field operations for both our corporate-owned and franchise locations as a result of the latest enterprise’s initiative to become a more franchise-centric organization.”
Since joining G6 Hospitality in 1985, Brower has held several leadership roles in operations, marketing, and asset management. Notable positions held include: Director of Marketing, Regional Vice President, Operations, Senior Vice President of Operations and Executive Vice President of Operations. Brower was a key leader in the development of Studio 6 as a new extended-stay brand from concept to build, including the acquisition and conversion of 23 properties and opened several Motel 6 and Studio 6 properties in Canada.
