Alex Novo appointed new General Manager of Viceroy Miami

Viceroy MiamiViceroy Hotel Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Novo as General Manager of Viceroy Miami. In his new position, Novo will lead all aspects of the 148-room boutique lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Downtown Miami’s burgeoning urban center.

“In a time when Miami is experiencing tremendous growth and redevelopment, we need strong leadership at Viceroy Miami to ensure the hotel continually evolves and stays ahead of the curve,” says Mike Walsh, Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for Viceroy Hotel Group. “Alex’s proven track record and understanding of the South Florida market makes him ideal for the position. A distinguished hotel veteran, Novo encompasses over 20 years of hospitality management experience at some of the world’s most prestigious hotels. Prior to joining Viceroy Miami, Novo was the Regional Vice President of Operations for Trust Hospitality, where he oversaw six properties in South Florida and the Caribbean, and led the opening teams for the Langford Hotel in Miami and Zemi Beach Resort and Spa in Anguilla. Previously, Novo also served as Vice President of Operations for Highgate Hotels. His breadth of experience includes General Manager of Mondrian South Beach, Director of Operations for W New York Times Square, Hotel Manager of Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City, along with various senior management roles with Loews Hotels.

Novo is a Miami native and earned a bachelor’s degree from Barry University. He is fluent in Spanish, and also is an active member of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Miami and Beaches Hotel Association.
