Javier Soriano new Executive Chef at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa

Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa in Mallorca has announced the appointment of Executive Chef Javier Soriano. A renowned chef and gastronomic consultant, Soriano will oversee the hotel’s overall culinary strategy and bring his extensive expertise and passion for Mediterranean cuisine to the restaurants: Cap Roig and Es Fanals.

Born in Madrid, Soriano trained in several Michelin-starred restaurants in Spain including Koldo Royo, Xoriguer and the three-starred Zalacain. He has broad experience gained from a number of hotels including Marriott Son Antem and Hotel Ritz in Madrid, amongst others.

Soriano has received multiple awards. He won the first Spanish championship for “Tapas and Pinchos” with the best Mediterranean tapas; he was recognised by the Mallorcan Restaurant Business Association for his valuable contribution to Balearic cuisine; and his book“Tapes i Broquetes de Mallorca” was nominated for the World Cook Book Championship.

Soriano’s international experience and expertise in hospitality, combined with a clear Mediterranean influence, will ensure a memorable Mallorcan culinary experience for guests at Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel and Spa.
