In support of the company’s efforts to optimize online presence, revolutionize digital strategy and expand ecommerce and marketing initiatives to better serve guests and hotel owners, Wyndham Hotel Group has announced the appointment of Miguel Oliveira to the new role of vice president, global digital commerce and marketing.
In this new role, Oliveira is responsible for supporting the company’s brand marketing initiatives on global digital platforms and ensuring that Wyndham Hotel Group’s digital products are designed for global adoption and usage.
With more than 18 years of experience, Oliveira has extensive background in eCommerce, marketing, strategy and operations. Prior to joining Wyndham Hotel Group, Miguel led a cross-functional team at Choice Hotels International to revamp design and functionality of choicehotels.com digital platforms. Previously, he served Hotels.com leading merchandising strategy and global coupon/value-added offers. Earlier in his career, he held management consulting roles with Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey & Company, BearingPoint, Inc. and KPMG LLP.
Oliveira earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, an IAG Master in Marketing from Pontificia Universidade Catolica and a Master of Business Administration degree from Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.
