Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown, currently undergoing a total reimagining with an ultramodern interior design package and a dual-branded transformation, announces Bill Spicer as director of sales & marketing. As an industry veteran with 15 years of experience, Spicer has displayed exemplary leadership and has consistently improved overall team performance over his career. Spicer and his team have big plans for the success of the newly open Atlanta Crowne Plaza and soon to be open Staybridge Suites in one signature Midtown Atlanta building.

“It is my delight to work with someone as accomplished and respected as Bill,” says Patrick Palmer, general manager of Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown. “I look forward to seeing his success grow and the new Atlanta hotel vision come to life under his sales and marketing leadership.”

Returning to Atlanta after working in the New York hospitality scene for more than seven years, Spicer previously worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing at Hyatt Union Square New York where he reinvented the marketing plan and digital marketing initiatives. Spicer also served as the Director of Sales & Marketing for Hyatt 48 Lex in New York, where he initiated and completed a total redesign of marketing practices. Prior to his time in New York, Spicer worked in Atlanta as director of business transient sales for The Westin Buckhead Atlanta.

“I am humbled by this distinction among a team of such talent,” says Bill Spicer, director of sales & marketing. “The positive morale of the team and the lively atmosphere of the Crowne Plaza in Atlanta is inspiring; I am thrilled to return to Atlanta to work with this delightful group of individuals.”

Spicer is well versed in the multi-hotel responsibilities that the new Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown and Staybridge Suites property demands. During his time in New York, Spicer developed the transient sales cluster for Hyatt Hotels & Resorts while serving as area director of transient sales for Andaz 5th Avenue, Grand Hyatt New York and Andaz Wall Street. Spicer’s development helped to provide better sales coverage across each of the properties.

Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites Atlanta Midtown is conveniently located near area attractions, shopping and a plethora of restaurants. Immediate highway access or a few short steps to the MARTA subway system offer quick transportation choices to many areas of the city. Delicious cuisine options are available at 590 Grille and the Lobby Café & Bar. State-of-the-art fitness center and business traveler-friendly guestrooms combined with special new amenities rolling out later this year, Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown presents stunning city views and a refreshing outdoor pool.
