Dusit Thani Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Desmond Hatton as General Manager of Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, the luxurious business hotel located in the heart of the UAE capital.
Hatton’s responsibilities will include overseeing the performance, strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the 533 room property which includes a portfolio of food and beverage offerings including Benjarong, the Thai restaurant, Namm Spa and over 47,500 square feet of function space.

A native of Ireland, Hatton brings a wealth of experience with a career spanning over 34 years. He has held progressive management roles within leading hotels and resorts including the Shangri-La resorts in Fiji, Malaysia, Philippines and the extensive Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa in Oman. His career has also spanned multiple hospitality disciplines in kitchen, food and beverage, rooms and accounting in Germany, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He most recently held the position of General Manager at Dusit Thani Maldives before joining Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi.
