Norm Santos, General Manager of Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa – a member of the Marriott Autograph Collection of upscale independent hotels, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts – has announced the appointment of Raymond Soria as Director of Food & Beverage. With management qualities honed through food and beverage-related positions at hotels across Southern California, Soria is responsible for the success of the resort’s dining experience, including BIN189 and Magnum Private Dining Room, as well as in-room dining, banqueting and catering for special events.
Soria will work closely with Executive Chef Carmen Rodriguez, who joined Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa in May 2014 and has made the resort dining experience his own with seasonal menus filled with rustic, robust flavors created from fresh and natural ingredients.
“We are thrilled to welcome Raymond to our team, leading the food and beverage operations at the resort,” said Santos. “His expertise and experience will prove to be beneficial to the resort’s future success.”
Soria arrived at Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa from Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside, where he spent the past year as Director of Food & Beverage. Previously, Soria spent over three years as Director of Food & Beverage at Avenue of the Arts Wyndham Hotel in Costa Mesa, where among other successes he led a $2 million renovation of the hotel’s restaurant and bar, and increased sales by a 98% year over year. He was also Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at a 220-room property of Venquest Hotel Group in Irvine; Banquet Manager of Hilton Ontario Airport in Ontario, Calif.; and Assistant Banquet Manager of the 238-room Historic Mission Inn Hotel & Spa in Riverside.
Born and raised in Southern California, Soria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management from Cal State Polytechnic University Pomona.
