The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa has announced the appointments of industry veterans Mark Stavitski as director of sales, Nancy Miller as Midwest account director, Diana Kamper as southwest account director, and McKinlay Kelly as group sales specialist. With more than 90 years of combined experience in hospitality sales, all four experts continue to elevate the service groups have come to expect from the iconic resort.
Mark Stavitski joins the team as director of sales with more than 25 years of hospitality experience. He most recently served as director of group sales at The Westin Charlotte in North Carolina where, among other duties, he managed a six person sales team for five years. Prior to this, Stavitski held numerous sales roles including Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort as Director of National Accounts to The Westin New York at Times Square as Account Director, and Sheraton Stamford as Director of Group Sales. In his new position, Stavitski will continue to manage and oversee all group sales strategy for the 487 room resort.
With more than 34 years of hospitality know how – 19 with Starwood Hotels, Nancy Miller joins The Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa team as the new Midwest account director handling Chicago area Midwest association and corporate accounts. She most recently served as the director and top producer for the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers along with The Westin Chicago River North. Additionally, Nancy served as account director for the St. Regis and Luxury Collection Midwest sales office, ITT Sheraton Midwest national sales office, as well as ITT Sheraton global sales office in Chicago.
Prior to joining the resort, Diana Kamper served as the director of national accounts for The Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort. Additionally, she held sales manager roles with Allied PRA, The Hilton Suites in Brentwood TN, and served as senior sales manager at the Hilton El Conquistador in Tucson. With a career spanning 23 years, Kamper has touched all areas of hospitality from sales and marketing to administration roles in Tennessee and Tucson markets. This led Phoenix-based Kamper to her new position as remote Southwest account director handling Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico and Colorado.
McKinlay Kelly joins the expansive team from Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa in Tucson. There, she held the social group sales manager role along with a variety of concierge and guest service positions, honing her communication skills. As group sales specialist, McKinlay will lead new business research while ensuring accounts are well managed by staying on top of market trends.
