As well as her formal education and training, she has studied with a range of traditional healers and traditional Chinese medicine, while Western naturopathy also influence her approach.
Cherisse explains of her vision for the resort, “I strongly believe in the importance of integrating Western scientific understanding and Eastern philosophy, which fits the Keemala ethos of its celebration and cultivation of Thai culture perfectly.” She continues, “This is intensely perceived in the spa. Treatments and holistic programs are being meticulously designed to utilize long-gone techniques, and organic herbs are being used as medicinal remedies in conjunction with old-fashioned pampering”.
Keemala will boast eight treatment rooms in its spa, offering a haven of renewal. The resort also plans to host visiting practitioners for enlightening and interesting retreats.
As an extension of the wholesome spirit of Keemala, gastronomy offered will also be organic and locally sourced and grown where possible. The menus will incorporate healthy, nutritious and above all delicious cuisine. Keemala will offer several outlets for dining, the main restaurant with adjoined relaxed bar, a pool restaurant, and an intimate wine cellar ideal for private dining and small gatherings. Destination dining will be offered to guests who would like to enjoy the ambience of somewhere distinct, perhaps beside the waterfall, or in the comfort of their villa or cottage.
