Pan Pacific Hotels Group has announced the appointment of Vlad Reyes as Area General Manager, China and General Manager of Pan Pacific Suzhou.
As Area General Manager, Vlad will oversee the Group’s Chinese portfolio which now includes four “Pan Pacific” properties – Pan Pacific Suzhou, Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Ningbo, Pan Pacific Xiamen and Pan Pacific Tianjin. Based at Pan Pacific Suzhou, he will also be in charge of the daily operations and overall performance of the 481-room hotel.
A U.S. citizen of Filipino-Chinese heritage, Vlad joins the Group with close to 40 years of industry experience in Front Office, Food & Beverage and general management at luxury and business hotels in the Philippines, USA, Indonesia, Singapore, Maldives, Malaysia and China.
Notably, Vlad enjoyed a rewarding career spanning over 35 years with Hilton Worldwide where he worked at and managed Vista, Hilton, Doubletree and Conrad hotels across Asia and the USA. Barring half a year in between, he spent the last 13 years accumulating a wealth of operational expertise in China as General Manager of Hilton, Conrad and Doubletree properties in Beijing, Nanjing, Dalian and Wuhu. As Regional Director of Food and Beverage, China, Vlad also played a role in the implementation of Hilton’s food and beverage concepts in the country.
Most recently, Vlad was Cluster General Manager of Hilton Nanjing Riverside and Doubletree by Hilton Wuhu. He drove the successful opening of the latter and strategically positioned both properties to maximise profits from the MICE, weddings, and food and beverage segments.
