Lee Ng (pictured) new General Manager for Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Lee joined the group with more than 16 years of hospitality experience; and shall be responsible for the hotel’s overall business performance, and day-to-day operations as well as management of the 319 value-led hotel located in the bustling suburb of Kuala Lumpur. Prior to his appointment, Lee was the Complex Director of Sales & Marketing at a Sheraton resort, The Royal Begonia, Sanya and has moved up the ranks within the Starwood group for the last nine years. He has also worked with Shangri-La Singapore, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
Azrule Aziz named Director of Operations for Dorsett Putrajaya, Malaysia
Azrule will be assisting in the Dorsett Putrajaya pre-opening activities and strategic business planning. Azrule brings along with him more than 10 years working experience in the hospitality industry. Before joining Dorsett Putrajaya, Azrule was the Director of Food & Beverage at JW Marriott Surabaya, Indonesia. Prior to that he was with Hotel Majapahit Surabaya, Indonesia, The Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur and Newport Marriot, Rhoda Island-USA.
Dorsett Putrajaya is located in Malaysia’s federal administrative capital of Putrajaya. Scheduled to open in Q2, 2015 the hotel features 218 guestrooms and suites; an all-day dining facility with the scenic lake view as its backdrop, a deli and a Lobby Lounge. Other facilities include multi-functional meeting facilities, a ballroom and recreational facilities in the form of a gymnasium and swimming pool.
Keith Yeung joins as Vice President of Information Technology
Based in Dorsett Hospitality International’s Corporate Office in Hong Kong, Keith is responsible for the overall information technology initiatives for the group, including formulating and implementing Group information technology, enhancing the hotels’ operation efficiency through automation and technology enhancement and formulating policies and procedures for data / information protection and security.
With 18 years of industry experience in SAP retail systems such as POS, CRM and E-Commerce, Keith was the Head of I.T in Hong Kong Tourism Board.
David So appointed as the Director of Technical Services
Steering the Project Team in Hong Kong and across the hotels in the region, David is tasked to ensure that the company’s creative vision, brand standards and strategies are implemented in all hotels including the newly build hotels, conversions and full scale renovations.
As a registered architect in United Kingdom and Hong Kong since 1990, David has worked for Chau Nam Architects & Associates Ltd, Lanson Place Hospitality and Management Limited and other established organisations.
