Tash Tobias returns to Singapore as Regional GM and GM, InterContinental Singapore

Tash Tobias General Manager InterContinental Singapore1InterContinental Singapore announces the return of Tash Tobias to InterContinental Singapore as General Manager, while taking on an expanded role as Regional General Manager for Singapore, Malaysia and Batam.

Tash will be responsible for driving strategic growth and operational excellence for 10 hotels across four brands including InterContinental Singapore, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay, Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road, Holiday Inn Resort Batam, InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie and Holiday Inn Melaka.

Having previously led InterContinental Singapore through a refurbishment of its signature Shophouse rooms and suites and Man Fu Yuan Restaurant during her tenure as General Manager between January 2011 and July 2013, Tash is well-placed to once again lead the team through a scheduled multi-million dollar refurbishment programme of the hotel’s guestrooms, restaurants and public areas in 2015. This major phase of refurbishment is poised to reaffirm InterContinental Singapore’s position as a leading luxury business hotel, connecting guests to the rich arts, educational, cultural and heritage district where the hotel is located.

With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, of which 12 years have been with IHG, Tash brings with her a wealth of experience from her operational leadership roles across South East Asian markets including Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore as well as leading the revenue management and sales and marketing functions in Australasia.

Prior to her return to Singapore, Tash was the Area General Manager of Bangkok and General Manger of Crowne Plaza Lumpini Park, overseeing Holiday Inn Silom, Holiday Inn Pattaya and the soon-to-open Hotel Indigo Wireless Road.
