Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) has changed its name to Hospitality Technology Next Generation to expand within the hospitality industry.
HTNG’s founding mission states: “To foster, through collaboration and partnership, the development of next-generation solutions that will enable hoteliers and their technology vendors to do business globally in the 21st century.” Now, the organization aims to broaden that initiative to include other hospitality verticals as well.
Restaurants, leisure and entertainment venues, active living facilities, gaming, cruise lines and healthcare share similar technologies and solution sets as hotels. HTNG’s organizational framework has already proven to be valuable in the hotel industry. The association’s strategy of collaboration and problem-solving has great promise to help solve technology problems and advance development in these new verticals.
“The need for our solutions, standards and best practices exist in these adjacent verticals,” said Michael Blake, CEO of HTNG. “We have the knowledge and experience of how our association benefits hotels and technology vendors; now we can jump-start other verticals that are facing similar challenges.”
Since HTNG already has active members in these spaces, the next step focuses on identifying and defining what these shoulder industries need, and then providing the necessary tools for success.
HTNG will be in attendance at HITEC Toronto on June 26-29 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Stop by booth #2302 to talk to the team and learn more about this new expansion.
