Hilton’s DoubleTree by Hilton brand is rolling out a new premium room concept called the ‘Little Extras Upgrade’. The newly launched concept allows participating hotels the option to create ‘Little Extras Rooms’ on one or more floors of the property, which include all the amenities of DoubleTree by Hilton’s standard rooms plus added benefits such as premium in-room Wi-Fi, access to snacks and beverages, and a premium in-room coffee brewer. The ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ is available to all guests for a nominal fee and is currently being rolled out to DoubleTree hotels in the Americas.

“Through the program we’re allowing hotels to create a more rewarding guest experience by offering extras that can make their stay more enjoyable, while also driving profitability for our owners,” said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “At DoubleTree by Hilton, we believe it’s the little things that make the biggest impact for both our guests and owners. We work closely with each to ensure we’re leveraging their valuable feedback to offer a fresh, relevant approach to the hotel experience, and this initiative is just one of the ways we’re delivering on that commitment.”

Hotels have the option to include one of three ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ concepts:

1.    Little Extras Snack Bag: Guests receive in-room delivery on a display tray which includes one bag of chips, one candy and one healthy snack, along with two bottles of water, a piece of fruit, two drink vouchers and in-room Wi-Fi.

2.    Little Extras Refreshment Center: Guests receive 24-hour access to a self-service refreshment center located on the Little Extras Floor(s) with unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an in-room premium coffee brewer and Wi-Fi.

3.    Little Extras Snack Pantry: Guests receive 24-hour access to a self-service area located on the Little Extras Floor(s) with unlimited snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an in-room premium coffee brewer and Wi-Fi.

The ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ is priced at a rate of $25 – $35 per room, per night. Guests can reserve the ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ at DoubleTree.com, through an online travel agent, by calling the hotel directly or at check-in. Based on availability, Diamond and Gold Hilton HHonors members can be upgraded to a ‘Little Extras Room’ on the day of arrival.

“The ‘Little Extras Upgrade’ has been a tremendous success for us,” said Stephanie Banks, general manager Doubletree by Hilton Orlando Downtown. “Our guests really appreciate the premium amenities, especially the pantry’s features and the in-room Keurig coffee makers.”
