Red Planet giving away Apple Watches to celebrate app upgrade and launch of Referred affiliate programme

Red Planet ARed Planet Hotels, the pioneering Asian value hospitality group, today announced the launch of a significant content upgrade to its app and guest reward options. The upgrade across its technology platform coincides with the unveiling of its new affiliate programme “Referred”, which offers substantial cash commissions for members.

To celebrate these technology-related launches, Red Planet is giving away Apple Watches to lucky guests who book through its app and stay in any of its 25 hotels between now and September 30, 2015.

Red Planet’s app is not only a highly efficient booking portal, but also provides an In-Stay Mode with a range of cool features to maximise guests’ enjoyment during their stay.

From the moment a guest makes a booking, the app provides them with a direct chat line to hotel staff to answer any special requests or questions before and during their stay.

In addition, guests are able to easily look up and obtain directions to local attractions, receive information on local events in their destination city and utilise a room-to-room and front desk telephone line through the app when in the hotel.

Red Planet’s Referred programme encourages members to promote all hotels to their family, friends, colleagues and social networks through their personal Referred link and earn cash commissions for each paid reservation. This will also be extended to organisations, associations and any websites wishing to participate.

Red Planet’s app, Referred affiliate programme and Remembered loyalty programme, which has signed up more than 15,000 members in three months, are key pillars of the brand roll out.

Red Planet currently owns and operates an expanding network of 25 hotels in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand. Chief Executive Officer, Tim Hansing, said the company has the specified goal of being a “segment innovator” to broaden the guest experience in the value hotel sector through relevant technology.

“It’s a significant day for Red Planet. We cater to a very loyal segment of the travel industry which deserves access to a range of mobile services, technological enhancements and affiliate programme opportunities,” Mr Hansing said.

“None of our competitors offer the new functionalities of our app or provide an opportunity for guests to monetise their loyalty through an affiliate programme.

“This positions us as the true market leader in our segment. There is no one else in the region that comes close to offering this level of innovation. It is ground-breaking and highly relevant to our guests and is based on a significant amount of market research undertaken by the company.”

Since opening its first hotel in 2011, Red Planet has welcomed four million guests to its 25 hotels. The company has raised several rounds of capital from private investors and anticipates a future public listing in the region.
