Pentahotels opens a second hotel in Belgium

The new pentahotel Liège opened on 5th January 2015 in the former Hotel Mercure Liège Centre. The young neighbourhood lifestyle brand has transformed the 105-room hotel after a modernisation that took six months.

Boulevards for a good shopping trip or the “Le Carré” neighbourhood with countless cafés and bars are just within a stone’s throw of pentahotel Liège. Inside, a billiard table, Sony PlayStation or charging stations for mobile devices make the penta concept is different. The pentalounge, which is the centrepiece of every pentahotel, comes with an anti-boredom guarantee. Designed by top architect Mattheo Thun, the pentalounge is less of a sterile lobby and more of a cool club that transforms from a relaxing meeting place by day to a fashionable lounge at night.

Guests can check in at the bar. Amenities such as free WiFi access throughout the hotel, 42-inch flat screen TVs in every room, free Pay TV including the latest blockbusters on demand as well as a range of premium sports channels are standard.

Launched in Europe, pentahotels is now represented by 25 hotels in Europe and Asia, with five more properties opening by the end of 2015 and a target of 80 pentahotels in operation globally by 2020.
