Drip Feed feature in STAAH is an awesome tool to help you plan your ideal distribution mix
What is Drip Feed?
Drip Feed feature allows you to strategically control inventory across OTAs to maximise revenue and booking conversions.
- The primary advantage of Drip Feed is you do not sell an overwhelming majority of rooms at a single price point or to a single OTA.
- The feature helps in having a balanced strategy to sell rooms on multiple channels and also at multiple price points.
What’s New:
We have enhanced the Drip Feed functionality by incorporating the “Closed” option in the drop-down menu, it will be available at both the Base Rate and Channel Rate levels.
If the property selects the “Closed” option, STAAH will send zero inventory to channels.
Benefits:
You can temporarily halt room sales through specific channels, allowing for better inventory management.
Sending zero inventory to channels when fully booked avoids overbooking.
Flexibility to decide where to distribute inventory and at what price points for revenue optimization.
Avoiding selling most rooms at one price point maintains a varied pricing strategy, appealing to a wider range of potential guests.
How does it help in distribution mix?
1) Smart Control
Plan distribution of rooms based on OTA commission structure to reduce the cost and maximise profit. Smartly control availability by room type or date range. Release inventories as per demand or as rooms are being sold.
2) Avoid Group Booking
Reduce the risk of last-minute cancellation for group bookings, especially over high demand dates.
3) Creates Urgency
Most OTAs create urgency on the search page encouraging customers to book now due to limited availability. This prompts higher conversion.
This feature is available to all STAAH MAX users.
