Auberge Resorts Collection has appointed Rajiv Malhotra as general manager of Goldener Hirsch, Auberge Resorts Collection, the collection’s new resort in the iconic mountain destination of Deer Valley, Utah.
Malhotra brings more than three decades of luxury hospitality experience from global leadership positions to his new role overseeing operations for the 18-room, legendary mid-mountain retreat, which just unveiled a dramatic renovation and expansion that includes the addition of 40 modern residences designed by acclaimed architect Tom Kundig.

Most recently, Malhotra was the operations task force general manager at several Auberge resorts including The Vanderbilt, Auberge Resorts Collection (Newport, R.I.), and Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection (Blue Ridge Mountains, Virg.).

A graduate of Cornell University, Malhotra began his professional career with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts as a front office manager in New Delhi and then on to Calcutta as hotel manager. Over the 16 years that followed, he worked with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in a variety of executive positions in Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and Great Exuma in the Bahamas, in addition to general manager positions in Bora Bora, Atlanta, and Costa Rica. In 2017, he returned to Oberoi Hotels and Resorts as Senior Vice President of Operations.
Malhotra, a true citizen of the world and lover of culture, is fluent in five languages: English, French, Hindi, Bengali and Punjabi. Malhotra and his wife, Susmeeta, have two sons, Rohaan and Rumaan, and two cats, Tiramisu and Sir Issac Meowton. When not on property, Malhotra likes to practice photography, take long walks and watch international cinema.
