Hotel Landy, Orlando’s vibrant Tribute Portfolio and Universal Partner Hotel, marks its first anniversary with significant achievements, strategic positioning for unprecedented growth as Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe prepares to open in May 2025, and the launch of an exciting sweepstakes offering guests a chance to experience both milestones.
Since opening its doors in March 2024, the 400-room property on Universal Boulevard has quickly established itself as a standout destination, earning the prestigious 2024 New or Renovated award from Convention South and securing coveted Universal Partner Hotel status, enhancing guest access to Orlando’s premier attractions.
“Our first year exceeded expectations as we’ve established Hotel Landy as more than just accommodations, but as a dynamic Orlando experience,” said Demetrius Hodge, General Manager. “With Epic Universe opening this spring, we’re ideally positioned at the epicenter of Orlando’s evolving entertainment landscape.”
The property has strategically expanded its leadership team to capitalize on emerging opportunities, welcoming hospitality veteran Jason Johnson as Director of Sales in January 2025
and adding industry expert Dan Sullivan as Senior Sales Manager in February. These key appointments strengthen the hotel’s position in the group and meetings market, a segment poised for growth with the expansion of Universal Orlando Resort.
To commemorate its anniversary and the opening of Universal Epic Universe, Hotel Landy is launching a special sweepstakes that will award one winner and a guest a dream Orlando getaway. The prize includes a two-night stay in a Junior Suite, one-day park passes to the all-new Universal Epic Universe, and complimentary daily shuttle service to the theme parks. Entries will be accepted through May 15, with the winner announced before Epic Universe’s grand opening on May 22, 2025.
“This sweepstakes celebrates two significant milestones – our first anniversary and the opening of Epic Universe – while giving our guests a chance to be among the first to experience Orlando’s newest attraction,” said Hodge.
The property has also introduced its “Epic Getaway Suite Package” offering Junior Suite accommodations, a $100 food and beverage credit, late checkout, and exclusive Universal Orlando Resort benefits including discounted tickets and daily shuttle service to the parks.
Under the culinary direction of Executive Chef Jake Brenchley, the hotel’s Émilie Bar & Lounge has redefined expectations of resort dining with its innovative menu and distinctive concept honoring Émilie du Châtelet, the 18th century French mathematician whose work influenced modern roller coaster development.
As a Universal Partner Hotel, guests now enjoy exclusive access to Universal Orlando Resort’s attractions, with the property recently announcing a partnership with Brightline, Florida’s high-speed train service, to provide convenient transportation to the upcoming Epic Universe.
“Looking ahead to our second year, we’re focused on leveraging our prime location and distinctive experience as Epic Universe transforms Orlando’s tourism landscape,” added Hodge. “We’ve built a strong foundation and assembled an exceptional team to deliver unparalleled hospitality.”
Hotel Landy features nearly 15,000 square feet of meeting space, distinctive dining venues, a resort-style pool, and amenities including a 24/7 Kinetic Game Room. The property’s movement-inspired design and energetic atmosphere have resonated with both leisure travelers and business guests seeking a vibrant Orlando experience.
