Hilton Worldwide’s mobile check-in and room selection technology is now live in Australasia and India, following its recent launch. Guests will be able to check-in and choose their exact room from digital floor plans or lists, using their desktop, tablet or mobile device.
They will be able to further customise their stay via these devices by requesting upgrades or making special requests for items to be delivered to their rooms, all through their personal accounts, with the click of a button.
The mobile technology is available across approximately 4,300 hotels spanning 12 brands worldwide. Since the launch in Australasia and India, the technology is now available at hotels in Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Thailand. This will be followed by a rapid rollout in the next few months to the rest of southeast Asia and subsequently in China, and Japan.
“Digital check-in and room selection rewards our HHonors members for their loyalty and puts our guests in the driving seat by giving them unprecedented choice and control across their entire stay,” said Geraldine Calpin, global head of digital at Hilton Worldwide. “Never before have guests been able to check-in, select their rooms from a digital floor plan, and customize their rooms to be ready for arrival.”
This latest announcement forms part of a wider digital strategy for Hilton Worldwide, the company said.
