A United States-based company successfully launched their mobile application in August of 2022 on the Island of Barbados, in Mexico, in February of 2023, and is planning its Caribbean-wide launch in May of this year at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Marketplace.
Away Together, a company based out of Erie, PA, has been working hard for the past two years developing its product. The mobile application, centred around providing travellers with increased communication with other guests, the accommodations, and the greater location, launched in Puerto Rico at the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association Marketplace in October. The company is planning to launch stateside in the second quarter of 2023.
“We are proud of where we are today but incredibly determined to grow our company quickly to focus our attention stateside. We plan on keeping all operations here, in Erie, and are projected to hire over 10 employees by the second quarter of 2023, with over half of them focused on and living in the Caribbean,” said Melanie Brewer, CEO of Away Together.
“We also have strong ties in the Saudi Arabian market,” added John Beuchert, COO of Away Together. “Through partnerships and networking, we have begun to build a global database to grow our presence quickly. Our Director of Marketing, East, Abdullah Aledrisi, whom we met through a partnership with Gannon University, is based out of the Middle East and reports weekly on the excitement building for the launch in that market,” said Beuchert.
