The edyn Group, one of Europe’s pioneering providers of lifestyle aparthotels and serviced apartments under the Locke and SACO brands, has partnered with SiteMinder, the world’s largest open hotel commerce platform, to help fuel its pan-European growth plans. A leader in extended-stay and transient living for more than 20 years, edyn is capitalizing on the grown number of travelers seeking flexible living spaces.
edyn is now using SiteMinder’s platform to reach travelers in more European markets, through more than 400 distribution channels that include OTAs and vacation rental booking sites. In addition, the hospitality group has made its own extended-stay platform available as a distribution channel to other serviced apartment providers that use SiteMinder.
The partnership follows the opening of Kingsland Locke in Dalston this month. Locke, edyn’s lifestyle brand, provides a strong growth opportunity for the hospitality group and is the latest example of its evolution. Proving particularly popular with travelers in the mid to long-stay market, Locke now has seven UK properties, with further openings planned in Dublin, Berlin, Lisbon, Munich and Copenhagen.
Speaking on the benefits of the partnership, Darryl Walker, Director of Distribution and Supply at edyn, says, “Having worked with SiteMinder extensively in the past, it’s the reliability of their technology and the choice they provide that is so appealing. With the option of more than 400 distribution channels to distribute our inventory through, SiteMinder will be central to powering the growth of all edyn brands in coming years, and will ensure that we are more accessible to all travelers. This is crucial as our offering develops and expands.”
SiteMinder’s global vice president of enterprise, Karla Brooklyn, says, “It’s a privilege to be aligning with a visionary hospitality group such as edyn, which has always challenged traditional category conventions and been committed to creating urban sanctuaries for the modern traveler. Across Europe, as travel recommences, the hybrid home-meets-hotel concept offered by edyn’s Locke and SACO brands will be particularly relevant and we look forward to helping them connect with a wide range of new guests, and expand into new markets to meet traveler demand for more spacious, self-contained accommodation.”
Adds SiteMinder’s senior director of global ecosystem, James Bishop: “We’re constantly on the lookout for partners that will drive further value for our hotel customers. edyn, through its extended-stay platform, is an exciting and hugely relevant one that offers a great advantage to serviced apartment providers around the world.”
